Home Health agencies and Hospice organizations

This A-Rated program is custom designed to the needs of the home health and hospice industry. With the continuing trend toward independent living, there are now more than 10,000 certified Home Health agencies and Hospice organizations across the nation. Their mission is to help those who are recovering, disabled, chronically or terminally ill get the treatment or assistance they need without leaving the comforts of their own home. Personal service is key. And now there is an insurance program that gives these organizations the level of service and coverage they deserve.

Addiction Treatment

Our Addiction Treatment Package is designed for organizations and facilities that support those striving to overcome alcohol and substance abuse, as well as other forms of addiction. These facilities may offer a variety of services, such as counseling, workshops, and vocational programs, but should not include acute medical care as a primary service component.

Addiction is a pathological relationship to a substance, person, behavior or process. The idea that addicts lack willpower has long been debunked. There is a major shift in the field of addiction and mental health services that has supported and yielded an emerging recovery paradigm. There is now a greater focus on what happens before and after treatment, a shift from professional-directed treatment plans to client-developed recovery plans. There is simultaneously a greater emphasis on the physical, social and cultural environment in which recovery succeeds or fails, and an increased use of peer-based recovery coaches. ISA supports providers who focus on the recovery of the individual before, during, and after primary treatment is completed. Understanding that relapse often occurs with addicts, having the supports for the individual throughout the treatment cycle promotes greater chances of long-term recovery and reduces the chances of relapse.

Community/Social Services Overview

Social Service agencies represent a vast array of additional nonprofits that may not fit into previously mentioned categories. These programs have a corporate 501 (c) 3 structure and provide services to the community to improve its social and individual welfare. Social Service programs seek to meet individuals’ needs through social change at the community, organizational, societal, and global levels.

Social Service agencies blend an array of services in response to the overwhelming need for improvement in the lives of individuals, which in the past may have been the responsibility of the government but are now being transferred back to the community. The programs are responsible for promoting the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals and communities. They aim to achieve family and individual empowerment to increase economic independence and productivity, and they strive to promote strong, healthy, supportive communities that have a positive impact on the quality of life and the development of children.

Developmental Disabilities

Services and supports for people with developmental disabilities come in many forms and cover the arenas of medication, employment, education, habilitation, community living, leisure, and health. Providers of these services may specialize in one area or provide an array of supports and services. They serve people with developmental disabilities of all ages and their families. They may sometimes serve others in the community as well. For instance, an employment support provider may work with people who have both mental health problems and developmental disabilities.

Supports are planned with the individual, their family and field professionals, while customarily overseen by state and federal bodies. Providers are licensed by their respective states to operate. They can be private or state operated; “for-profit” or “non-profit.” They range in size from one house “Mom and Pop” operations to multi-state, multi-facility operations. Most include a Board of Directors and are subject to minimum safety and quality of care standards.

Mental Health

Our mental health program is designed for organizations that provide psychiatric and mental health counseling through residential and outpatient treatment programs, where chronic medical care is not a major component. These programs assist people in need of behavioral health services while focusing on recovery as the ultimate objective.

ISA continues to support behavioral health organizations in their efforts to promote recovery for people with mental illness while facilitating the “recovery vision,” which calls for individuals, practitioners, and family members to become active participants in encouraging a person’s potential. The creative and supportive role of the practitioner remains a constant challenge in where they can assist the individuals they serve in recognizing their individual strengths while developing consumer empowerment and a successful recovery process.
